Big East Camping and Outdoor Sports Show this weekend at Turning Stone

VERONA — The Big East Camping and Outdoor Sports Show will take place Friday, April 1, through Sunday, April 3, in the Event Center at Turning Stone Resort Casino, 5218 Patrick Road. The show, which is presented by AmeriCU, runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

In its 29th year, this show is for anyone that loves to camp, fish, boat, hike or just enjoy the great outdoors, according to organizers. The Beast of the East Archery tournament returns for its third year. The contest guarantees a minimum $500 cash pay out and custom trophies. The Big East Gear Grab Giveaway will be giving away a prize every hour. The fish pond will also be back and there is a kids casting contest Saturday. There will be multiple boating and RV dealers on site for those looking for more adventure. Other vendors include hunting and fishing guides, leather goods, campgrounds, sporting organizations, outdoor gear, fishing charters, and specialty food products. NY State Big Buck Club is again offering free head scoring. There will also be free seminars all weekend, and a variety of reptiles and mammals by Wildlife Rockstars.

Admission is $9 for adults; seniors 55 and older and military and first responders $7; children 6-12 are $3; and children 5 and under are free.
